$8,900.00
Label: Roberto Cavalli | Made in Italy | Circa: 1972–1975 | Early Archival Period
70% Silk | Specialized dry clean only |
An extraordinary surviving example from Cavalli's founding era — the period immediately following his debut collection at the Sala Bianca of Palazzo Pitti in Florence and the opening of his first boutique in Saint-Tropez in 1972. Fine micro-pleated silk in a luminous silver-mauve colorway with copper pinstripe threading. One-shoulder Grecian drape with a ruched and gathered bodice and fluid column skirt. The centerpiece is a breathtaking hand-assembled corsage at the waist — individually cut and shaped leather petals and leaves, each hand-curled and edged in fine metallic cord braiding, cascading in long trailing tendrils. Gowns of this age from Cavalli's founding decade surface with extreme rarity.
