CARDINALI by Marilyn Lewis — Chartreuse & Yellow Silk Chiffon Two-Tone Maxi Gown

1970–1974 CARDINALI by Marilyn Lewis — Chartreuse & Yellow Silk Chiffon Two-Tone Maxi Gown
Cardinali was founded by Marilyn Lewis in the late 1960s using only the most luxurious imported fabrics from Italy. Her clients included First Lady Nancy Reagan, Betsy Bloomingdale, Dyan Cannon, and Dionne Warwick. Actress Marlo Thomas personally signed Lewis to design the costumes for That Girl (1966–1971). The label was only active for nine years — making original pieces genuinely rare.
This gown is a spectacular example of Lewis's color-forward vision at its most joyful. Constructed in chartreuse and bright yellow silk chiffon, the two-tone colorblock silhouette is fully floor-length with a flowing chiffon overlay panel at one sleeve that cascades dramatically to the hem. Interior lined in silk. A piece that stops the room.
